The sitting-wand is designed for people who can still walk, but whose legs are weak. It is used as a supporting wand, just like a bench-chair. The sitting-wand becomes a bench-chair when the two contacting elements are disconnected, the articulated seat, which is hanged parallel to the wand, gives a lurch aside from the wand, and due to its weight, falls so that the bottom part of the wand, through the bottom bracket, thrust, bottom bracket of leg, leg itself, that widens at the end, which rests upon the bracket mounted on the seat, and the middle bracket, which is mounted on the other end of the wand, and the seat itself, thus forming a rectangle or trapezium. Inside the brackets, the movement limiters of seat hinge elements are mounted so that the seat is held in horizontal position. The top part of the wand, which rises on the side of the rectangle or trapezium, comes to rest in the armpits of the person sitting down and can be easily operated by the arm. Supplementary flexible supports and front articulated supports of the legs decrease the theoretical possibility of fluctuations of the sitting-wand from side to side, front and back, feet on the ground and freely moved legs also increase the stability of the sitting-wand. |
