FIELD: equipment for cutting rolled strips into lengths. SUBSTANCE: drum-type flying shears for cutting 1.5 mm thick strips have upper drum 1 and lower drum 2 having different diameters and provided with transverse through slots positioned out of symmetry relative to vertical axial drums plane. One face of slot is spaced by distance of 0.7-1.4 S, where S is thickness of strip under cutting process. Knives 6 and adjusting wedges 8 are mounted in slots. Additional slot 10 with right-angle cross section is made in larger diameter drum to define, in conjunction with main slot, vertical wall with bolts 12 received in wall openings and adapted for adjustment of position of knives 6.
