PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process suitable for producing a sintered thin film required to have denseness, such as a conductive layer for a ceramic heater or a precoat layer for a fuel battery of solid electrolyte type. SOLUTION: The process comprises: (1) the step of applying a slurry of coarse particles to a porous substrate while applying a relatively low differential pressure thereto, and drying the coating; (2) the step of applying a slurry of fine particles to the coated substrate while applying a relatively high differential pressure thereto, and drying the coating; and (3) the step of baking the coating film formed in the steps (1) and (2) simultaneously. The steps (1) and (2) are repeated before the step (3) is conducted. |
