PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery device for an ink jet head which minimizes a deviation from a position with which a cap member comes into contact when an injection nozzle face is tightly closed and can open the injection nozzle face in such a state that a cap face is tilted. SOLUTION: A movable member 21 is freely movable in both directions in which it becomes close to and becomes remote from an injection nozzle, and a support member 20 is urged by a spring 22 in such a manner that the cap face of a cap member 14 is tilted to an injection nozzle face. Further, the support member 20 is set in such a manner that it is rotatable with the movable member 21 centered around a rotary center shaft 23. In addition, given a reference face including the cap face during a tightly sealed state shown by a two-dot chain line as S1 and a reference face parallel with said reference face S1 including the contact point of a contact path 14a at a position for the start of the contact expressed by a solid line as S2, the center axial line of the rotary center shaft 23 is positioned closer to the reference face S2 than the reference face S1 and remote by a distance (a) from the reference face S1. Besides, the distance (a) is set in such a way that it is shorter than the distance (b) between the reference face S1 and the reference face S2. |
