PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a constantly stable discharge of liquid without a change with time even after shipment, even when dispersion in quality and performance of a movable member occurs in the manufacturing stage. SOLUTION: This liquid discharge head is of such a structure that a first liquid flow path 14 communicating with a discharge aperture 18 and a second liquid flow path 16 with an arranged heat generating member 2 are partitioned by a partitioning wall 33 with a movable member 31. In a preshipment stage after forming the movable member 31 on the partitioning wall 33, the heat generating member 2 is driven on specified driven parameters to displace the movable member 31 under such a state that the second liquid flow path 16 is filled with liquid. Thus it is possible to efficiently remove fins sticking to the lateral face of the partitioning wall 33 through the edge peripheral part of the movable member 31 and a slit 35 and therefore, easily displace the movable member 31.
