PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic head which has metallic magnetic films having a high saturation magnetic density and has high reliability even under a highly corrosive environment by incorporating a magnetic head having the standard electrode potential lower than the standard electrode potential of the magnetic metallic films of magnetic core half bodies into the parts of any of the surface of the substrate base of the magnetic head. SOLUTION: FeAlSi films (about -0.3V when based on the standard electrode potential: hydrogen electrode) are used as the magnetic metallic films 2 mainly composed of Fe as the magnetic head device. The films 2 are formed by a sputtering method and the thickness is about 5μm. Next, Al is used as the supporting base plate 5. The Supporting base 5 is formed by a press forming method and the thickness thereof is about 0.75mm. The magnetic head is adhered and fixed to the supplying base by using a UV curing adhesive. When the magnetic head device obtd. in such a manner is subjected to an accelerated corrosion test, i.e., is rested for one cycle under the highly corrosive environment, such as corrosive atmosphere and high temp. and high humidity, the oxidation of the magnetic metallic films 2 of the device and the degradation in the quality of the magnetic metallic films has not been observed.
