<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cassette storing shelf which can collect cassette management information from a cassette storing shelf to store cassettes having a cassette memory without taking out the cassette. SOLUTION: A reader 7a to read the cassette management information from a cassette memory is provided to a cassette storing shelf 2 for storing the cassettes 3 having programmable cassette memories for recording cassette management information. The reader 7a collects the cassette management information of the cassettes 3 stored on the cassette storing shelf 2 and then transfers the information to a host computer 1 to generate the cassette management information database 1a. Since the reader 7a is provided on the cassette storing shelf 2, the cassette management information can be collected without taking out the cassette 3 from the cassette storing shelf 2.</p> |
