<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor memory in which the information can be read out accurately from a memory cell through a simple constitution regardless of the distance of the memory cell from a contact hole. SOLUTION: The semiconductor memory is provided with a memory cell array 1 arranged in matrix, and a word line decoder 2 and bit line recorder 3 select the word line of the memory cell array 1, respectively, in the row direction and column direction thereof. A sense amplifier 5 detects the information being readout from the memory cell array 1 based on an output signal from the bit line recorder 3 and an output signal from a reference cell group 6 having inner constitution identical to that of the memory cell array 1 in which each memory cell has an inherent sense level corresponding to the distance from the contact hole. According to the arrangement, information can be read out accurately through simple and high integration circuitry regardless of the distance of the memory cell from the contact hole.</p> |
