PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method capable of accurately and quickly inspecting the raster distortion of a color image receiving tube without requiring skill. SOLUTION: In the raster distortion inspecting method for a color image receiving tube 1, a frame pattern is displayed on the phospher screen 3 of the receiving tube 1, the width of the frame pattern is read out by a camera 4 arranged on a prescribed position in the front of the receiving tube 1 oppositely to the screen 3, a signal sent from the camera 4 is arithmetically processed to find out the coordinates of the frame pattern on the prescribed position from the center of the screen, and the raster distortion of the receiving tube is inspected from the coordinates. |
