摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently recover the sensible heat of the combustion exhaust gas and preheat the air for combustion by setting the volume of a space on the side where the combustion exhaust gas from a heat storage body storage container having a heat storage body of a heat storage type burner stored therein flows into the heat storage body to be not less than the prescribed value of the whole volume of the heat storage body. SOLUTION: In a heat storage type burner, a heat storage body 4 is stored in a heat storage body storage container 1, an upper space 6 is formed on an upper part, a flow passage communicating with the space 6 is an air nozzle 3 for combustion, and a wind case 8 forming a lower space 7 is provided on a lower part. A flow passage 5 which is an air feed port for combustion and a combustion exhaust gas discharge port is formed in the wind case 8. When the air for combustion passage through the heat storage body 4, the air deprives the heat storage body of the heat to be turned into the preheated air of high temperature, and the air is mixed with the fuel. The volume of the upper space 6 and the lower space 7 of the heat storage body is >=50%, preferably around 80% of the total volume of the heat storage body 4. The deviated flow in the heat storage body is controlled, and the temperature distribution is leveled off to demonstrate the heat exchanging function of the heat storage to a maximum.
