PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a circuit layout and to provide a large input dynamic range by providing a single end input/output circuit having a binary holding circuit whose identification value is variable when an original signal is reconstituted from the output of a differential circuit in a light reception circuit. SOLUTION: The optical signal inputted to a light reception element 10 is converted into a signal (i). The electric signal is inputted to a pre-amplifier and is amplified. The amplified signal V1 is inputted to the differential circuit 102 and is converted into a differential waveform V2. The output of the differential circuit 102 is inputted to a Schmitt trigger circuit 103 for reconstituting the original signal from the differential waveform V2. The values of the threshold levels VH and VL of the Schmitt trigger circuit 103 are set to voltage values corresponding to the rise time and the fall time of the minimum speed value of the predicted input signal. The light reception circuit with the wide band and the large input dynamic range can be obtained by setting the product of the voltage values corresponding to the predicted minimum amplitude of the input signal. |
