<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground radar which can be produced at a comparatively low cost and can secure a required detection depth even when soil in the detection position is varied on the basis of low electricity consuming constitution. SOLUTION: This underground radar is provided with a dipole antenna 1, a transmission circuit 3 which excites the dipole antenna 1 by means of an electric pulse so as to transmit an electric wave to the ground, reception units 2, 4 receiving the reflected wave of the electric wave transmitted to the ground by means of the transmission circuit 3 and the dipole antenna 1, and processing units 5, 6, 7 forming reception related to a cause for generation of the reflected wave on the basis of a required time from transmission of the electric wave to reception of the reflected wave. The transmission circuit 3 is provided with a reaching distance changing means 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d which change a reaching distance of the electric wave to the ground by changing a width of the electric pulse exciting the dipole antenna 1.</p> |
