PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device which allows a continuous communication between slave telephone sets even if the communication distance increases at the time of direct communication between the slave telephone sets and eliminates the need for user's complicated manual operation for communication switching. SOLUTION: A slave telephone set 1 has a mode switching request part 108 for selecting a mode of excellent communication quality between a slave telephone set direct communication mode and a slave telephone communication mode wherein a master telephone set is interposed and a slave telephone set sequence control part 110 which performs communication mode switching to the said excellent mode, and the master telephone set 2 has a transmission and reception part 209 which enables transmission and reception over >=2 channels at the same time, a channel scan part 207 which outputs a free channel number, and a master telephone set sequence control part 208 which performs communication mode switching to the mode of excellent communication quality according to the free channel number when detecting the mode switching request from the slave telephone set 1, so that the continuous communication between slave telephone sets can be made even if the communication distance increases. |
