PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording and reproducing method for performing writing (recording) with a low power and obtaining a reproducing signal of a high intensity and an optical recording device suited for the method. SOLUTION: During recording, by using a laser beam 23 of 650nm belonging to the low reflectance wavelength band of a CD-R (optical disk) 1, an energy sufficient for recording can be given to the CD-R even if the laser beam is of a low power. During reproducing, by using a laser beam 24 of 780nm belonging to the high reflectance wavelength band of the CD-R, a reproducing signal of high intensity is obtained. Thus, an optical recording device 10 for performing recording by using a low power and inexpensive semiconductor laser is provided and simultaneously a reproducing signal of a high S/N is provided, and thus information is surely reproduced at a high speed. |
