PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously use all possible fed paper carrying paths and to attain an efficient image forming operation by processing a residual JOB through the use of a JOB completion carrying path, when a multiJOB is completed in one of the carrying paths, during simultaneous processing. SOLUTION: This image forming device comprises primarily an image reader part 10 for reading a document image and a printer part 20 for reproducing the read image. First, when a document is set on an ADF 12 and a starting button is depressed, two bundles of documents are read. When the reading of all the documents is completed, the number of the documents of each bundle is compared. When there is a difference of two or more in the number of the documents of each group, the documents on the front and rear sides are printed by using documents carrying paths on the front and rear sides respectively. A printing operation is advanced and when the printing operation in one of the carrying paths is completed, unprinted document images on the other carrying path are assigned to one carrying path by the number of sheets corresponding to the obtained calculated value, to continue printing. |
