<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the display quality by providing the insulating film made of the oxide film or the nitride film of a metallic film constituting a display electrode on whole surface of a display electrode or on whole surface of the display electrode and the whole surface of a signal electrode to prevent the electric short circuit between the display electrode and a counter electrode from being generated. SOLUTION: A first signal electrode 3 and a lower part electrode 4 being an integral structure with the first signal electrode 3 are provided on a first substrate 1. A second signal electrode 32 is provided so as to cover over the first signal electrode 3. An upper part electrode is provided on the lower part electrode 4 and a display electrode 6 being an integral structure with the upper part electrode is provided on the first substrate 1 with an aluminum film. A counter electrode 15 is provided on a second substrate 22 so as to be confronted with the display electrode 6. An aluminum oxide film made of the oxide film of the aluminum film constituting respective electrodes is provided on the second signal electrode 32, on the upper part electrode and on the display electrode 6 as an insulating film 33.</p> |
