PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the communication system to an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) exchange according to the bus type topology which is suitable for connecting numerous communication nodes with a low transmission rate. SOLUTION: An ATM exchange 6 provides an output of data sent to a clock 60 and an address of the clock 60 to a protocol converter 600. The protocol converter 600 applies SS modulation to the received data, to generate a transmission signal and sends the signal to the ATM exchange 6, via a commercial power supply cable 54. The clock 60 demodulates the received transmission signal by the SS system to reproduce user information from the ATM exchange 6, to make interlocking with other home use devices, such as a coffee pot 58 and an air-conditioner 66. |
