COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND ITS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) communication system, whose operation is simple for providing convenience to the user. SOLUTION: ATM exchanges 3, 6 connect a database device and a terminal equipment 80a to supply audio/video data to the terminal equipment 80a of a room A. The user moves to a room B and uses a remote controller 82 to send an optical signal, including identifier of the remote controller 82 and data, instructing a TV monitor 130 to the ATM exchanges 3, 6 via a terminal equipment 80b. The ATM exchanges 3, 6 change the connection, having been set between the database device and the terminal equipment 80a into the connection between the database device and the terminal equipment 80b.
