PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with the change of a marker bit pattern by making small the circuit scale of an arithmetic unit which inputs data containing the marker bits. SOLUTION: The input data 101 and 102 containing the marker bits are preprocessed by a bit arithmetic preprocessing means 61 by the inversion of the bits of a marker bit part, etc., an arithmetic processing means 32 processes the processing result of the bit arithmetic preprocessing means 61, and a bit arithmetic postprocessing means 63 re-sets marker bits to the above arithmetic results, thereby obtaining output data 106 wherein the arithmetic result contains the marker bits at the same positions with the input data. A marker bit setting means 64 sets mask bit data 167 showing the positions and number of the marker bits of the input data and the data are utilized for the bit arithmetic of the bit arithmetic preprocessing means 61 and bit arithmetic postprocessing means 63 and then adapted to the operation of data of various marker bit patterns. |
