PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless telephone set by which telephone directory data are much more used without making a memory of a slave set large. SOLUTION: The user operates a key entry section 272 to designate a telephone directory data area stored in a master set and to make a transfer request of the area, then a signal to request transfer of the telephone directory data in the area is sent to a master set under the control of a telephone directory data call control means 252. The master set receiving this signal reads the telephone directory data in the area designated by a slave set among the telephone directory data stored in a memory section by using the telephone directory data transfer control means to send the data to the slave set. The slave set receives the telephone directory data sent from the master set under the control of the telephone directory data call control means 252 and the received telephone directory data are stored in a telephone directory data storage area 261.
