PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner in which an abnormal stop of operation can be prevented during cooling operation even of the outdoor device are densely deployed. SOLUTION: This air conditioner is provided with a refrigerant circuit in which a compressor 1, an outdoor heat exchanger 2, an expansion means 3 and an indoor heat exchanger are annulaly connected and an outdoor fan 5 for the outdoor heat exchanger 2. When a judgment is made to start operation, by operation starting discriminating section 11 the outdoor fan 5 is operated through an outdoor fan control section 12 and then a timer 14 starts time counting of a predetermined time. Then, after the time counting with the timer 14 is completed, the compressor 1 is energized through a compressor control section 15. Since the outdoor heat exchanger 2 is cooled with the outdoor fan 5 before the compressor 1 is energized, a discharging gas temperature of the compressor 1 can be restricted in its increasing and abnormal stopping caused by the abnormal high temperature of the discharged gas can be prevented. |
