PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to utilize the latest integrated data at respective offices, which are scattered over a wide area, from any office, and also reduce the communication costs. SOLUTION: This system consists of a host station 1 and terminal stations 3 which are connected thereto by a public communication line 2. The host station 1 is equipped with an integrated data base 5 for storing integrated data D sent from the respective terminal stations 3 and its managing means 14, and further equipped with an index information generating means 15. The table of contents information ID is information for retrieval from the integrated data base 5, and obtained by extracting data of a specific item from the integrated data D. A terminal station 3 is equipped with an integrated data transmitting means 18, a table of contents information receiving means 20, a table of contents information inquiring means 22 for off-line retrieval and an integral data receiving means 23. |
