PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a solar battery so as not to be visually confirmable to improve the appearance, and thin a watch by constituting a dial by use of a converging plate, and arranging the solar battery near the side surface of the dial to receive the emitted light from the converging plate. SOLUTION: A dial 15 formed of converging plate contains, for example, a special fluorescent die, and this fluorescent die catches the circumferential light such as solar light, re-releases it as fluorescence, and emits the most part in the densified state to the side surface by total reflection. An inclined surface inclined at a prescribed acute angle is formed on the periphery of the dial 15, and a plurality of light receiving surfaces 50A of solar batteries 50 are arranged adjacently to or in contact to the inclined surface. Since the receiving surfaces 50A are shielded by a case body 25 so that they can not be visually confirmed from the front side, the appearance in design is satisfactory. The converging plate as the dial can be thinned as much as possible, and the watch can be consequently thinned. It is not necessarily needed to provide the inclined surface on the periphery of the dial 15, and the solar battery 50 may be arranged near the side surface with an acute angle inclination. |
