PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smooth a load and to cut expenses by operating a non-utility feeding device with a rated output during the daytime and increasing utility power at night. SOLUTION: A controller 1 is provided with first through third switches 2, 3, 4 and a setting device 5 to perform the following functions: the first switch 2 is switched on to select a first utility power value, and the second one 3 is switched on to select a second utility power larger than the first utility power value. The setting device 5 sets an allowable minimum output value of a generator to any desired value, which is made effective by switching on the third switch 4 and made ineffective by switching it off. The first and the second switches 2, 3 specified above are changed over, according to time measured by a timer. If the total amount of loads calculated by the controller 1 becomes less than the sum of the second utility power value and allowable minimum output value mentioned above, a control switch 7, linked to an output retainer 6, is switched on. If it goes further below the sum, the control switch 7 is switched off to stop the generator. |
