PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the electrostatic charge and conveyance of a toner over a long period of time and to provide an electrophotographic toner not causing fog and unevenness in density and ensuring stable image density. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic toner contains a bonding resin, a colorant and an electrostatic charge controlling agent contg. a compd. represented by the formula (where M is a metallic element selected from among Zn, Fe, Ni and Co and each of R<1> and R<2> is H or 1-6C alkyl). The ratio of the average dispersion diameter (μm) of the electrostatic charge controlling agent to the vol. verage particle diameter (μm) of the toner particles is 0.1-0.5.
