<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize limited transfer resources and to effectively collect fault information in a control part by periodically transferring to the control part fault statistics information of a high emergency degree and selectively transferring detailed fault information through the use of an idle time. SOLUTION: When a fault collecting instruction which is issued periodically, for example, at every second from the control part, a line interface 10 sums-up the number of virtual channel (VC) faults by virtual path (VP), and a fault number M at every VP is reported to the control part. the control part instructs the collection of detailed fault information to the line interface 10 within the range of the transfer ability of a control system transfer path 6 and the ability of control part MPU. The line interface 10 responds to the collecting instruction, so as to transfer the fault information. At this time, when the multiplex fault of a VC-level occurs, only the number of faults collected by a P-level is reported to the control part through the control system transfer path 6. Therefore, the control part can collect detailed information within the range of the ability of the control system transfer path 6 and that of the control part, without interfering another task.</p> |
