PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector durable in the surrounding environments for specified use by improving the combination and arrangement of constituent elements. SOLUTION: This electric connector 30 may comprises a housing 32, a contact 34, auxiliary locks 36, 38, grommets 40, 42, a back plate 44, a bolt 46, a contact taking out tool 48, and a splash guard 50. The housing 32 contains an aperture 52 to receive the contact 34. The contact 34 is bent and connected with a wire 60 to compose a contact-wire assembled body 61. The grommets 40, 42 are installed in a recessed part in the rear face of the housing 32. The grommets 40, 42 form a rather reliable weather resistant seal. The housing 32 and the back plate 44 are so designed as to expose the grommets 40, 42 to compressive force in order to improve the sealing property of the grommets 40, 42.
