The frame profile has a rigid member (6) which is channel shaped and has two flanges (7,8) connected between them by a transverse web (9) forming the base of the cavity (C) receiving an edge of the glazing. A rigid strip (15) has openings (19) to receive fixing screws (18) for attachment to the frame. A flexible strip forms a hinge (4) connecting the rigid member to and edge of the rigid strip over all of its length. The exterior flange (7) of the member has an extension (13) which extends beyond the rigid strip in opposition to the cavity (C). The flexible strip extends parallel to the rigid strip and is fixed at one side to the extension and at the other side to the rigid rod. The rigid strip has a contact face (17) at the level of a contact face of the inner flange (8) of the member.
