OFDM TRANSMISSION SYSTEM AND ITS TRANSMISSION/RECEPTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for transmitting plural kinds of synchronous symbols and to improve transmission efficiency by validating only every Nmax / Nmin carriers in Nmax -pieces of carriers on a reference symbol. SOLUTION: In the format of the frame of OFDM transmission data, every Nmax /Nmin =8 carriers are set to be effective carriers for the reference symbol when the number Nmax of the samples of a fixed reception is 8192 and the number Nmin of the samples of the symbol for movement reception is 1024. Only every eight carriers with DC as the center in whole carriers (5696 carriers) are used as the valid carriers. Thus, 1024 samples are extracted from the valid symbol period of the reference symbol and the reference symbol is demodulated by using the discrete Fourier transformation of 1024 points.
