PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for document display by screen division which allows the operation up to the positioning of two target documents on the same screen to be performed while a large screen before division is displayed as it was. SOLUTION: In response to specific document place specifying operation which is to be done prior to screen division command operation, the specified document place is stored as a 1st document place to be displayed on either small screen. In response to the specific screen division command operation, a 2nd document place to be displayed on the other divided screen is determined among documents which are currently displayed on the screen according to a certain rule. The screen of the image display unit is divided into two upper and lower small screens; and the 1st document place is displayed on one small screen and the 2nd document place is displayed on the other small screen. |
