PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the automatic recovery of the water used for an ultrasonic flaw detection by providing a water recovering device which is movable along beneath an ultrasonic flaw detecting device so as to follow it. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic flaw detection of the welds, etc. of an object under test 6 is performed by an ultrasonic probe 11 while water 13 from the outside is supplied between the ultrasonic probe 11 and the object under test 6 by a water supply pipe. A selfpropelled water recovering device 15 is designed to move along beneath the ultrasonic flaw detecting device 1 so as to follow it and to recover the water 13. In other words, the water recovering device 15 is attracted by magnetic force to the object under test 6 such as a nuclear reactor pressurized reservoir, etc., by magnetic wheels 22 installed on the main body of the water recovering device 16 and moved along beneath the ultrasonic flaw detecting device 1. Then the water 13 flowing down along the object under test 6 is scavenged by a rubber water receiver 23 installed on the top of the main body of the water recovering device 16. The scavenged water 13 is discharged to the outside through a discharge hose 28. Thereby the water used for ultrasonic flaw detection is automatically recovered. |
