PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing formation of the image sticking a transfer dust. SOLUTION: The device detects the presence or absence of static discharge in a gap area part held in contact with while opposing the intermediate transfer belt 19 where the photoreceptor 9 comes close from the upstream side of the image carrier surface traveling direction by providing a first potential sensor 41a for detecting the surface potential of a photoreceptor 9 prior to the toner image transfer on the upstream side of a transferring nip part in the photoreceptor surface traveling direction and the second potential sensor 41b for detecting the surface potential of the photoreceptor 9 after the toner image transfer on the downstream side, based on the potential difference between either part. |
