PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoding method, a transmitting method, a recording medium, and a compositing method for picture data without recalculating a foreground image αF from a foreground image F and a contribution rate αto execute compositing. SOLUTION: A background image B and a contribution rate α are calculated from an input image I by 1st and 2nd arithmetic processing means 11, 12 and a foreground image αF is found out from the input image I, the calculated background image B and the contribution rate α by a 3rd arithmetic processing part 13. The generated foreground image αF and the contribution rate α are respectively encoded by encoders 14, 15, the encoded results are multiplexed by a multiplexer, the multiplexed result is recorded in the recording medium 17 or transmitted through a transmission line. |
