POLYMER ELECTROLYTE, AND LITHIUM POLYMER BATTERY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polymer electrolyte provided with high mechanical strength and high ion conductivity even at high temperatures, and manufacture a lithium polymer battery using the polymer electrolyte. SOLUTION: A polymer electrolyte is obtained by solid dissolving a lithium salt in a polymer alloy film comprising an ion conductive polymer and a polymer of a higher melting point than that of the ion conductive polymer. This polymer electrolyte functions as a solid electrolyte of high mechanical strength and high ion conductivity even at high temperatures. A lithium polymer battery using the polymer electrolyte has similar discharge characteric as that of a liquid electrolyte battery.
