PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen sensor which is provided with a temperature control function in itself. SOLUTION: An insulating-material thermally sprayed layer 14 is formed to prevent an outside electrode 13 which is installed at the outside of a solid electrolyte 11. An electric heater layer 22 in a prescribed pattern is printed on the outside of the thermally sprayed layer 14. In addition, also a temperature transducer layer 23 is printed on the outside of the thermally sprayed layer 14 so as to be electrically in parallel with the electric heater layer 22. In addition, the electric heater layer 22 and the temperature transducer layer 23 are protected by a coating layer 15. When the electric heater layer 22 is electrified, the temperature of an oxygen sensor is raised, the resistance of the temperature transducer layer 23 is lowered, a current which flows in the electric heater layer 22 is reduced, and it is possible to restrain heat from being generated. |
