A noise and heat insulating material comprises one or more heavy layers (preferably for noise insulation) made from plasterboard or similar material and at least one relatively lightweight cellular plastic layer (preferably for thermal insulation). Mineral wool may be used as a similar material to plasterboard. Also claimed are (i) roof panels for buildings, comprising a top sealing layer (A), one or more mineral wool boards (B), one or more oriented cellular plastic layers (C), a plasterboard panel (D), a diffusion barrier layer (E), one or more mineral wool boards (F) and an underlay (G) and (ii) building materials comprising a top sealing layer (A), one or more oriented cellular plastic layers (B), a diffusion barrier layer (C) and a plasterboard panel (D). |
