PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce a color image by applying 2-dimension discrete Fourier transformation to image data so as to obtain information relating to arrangement of a color filter, thereby sampling data of each pixel of the color filter. SOLUTION: Suppose that an arrangement direction of a color filter deviates from a coordinate system of a reproduction device by an angle ϕ. Since a distance |uo <2> +Vo <2> |<1/2> between an origin and a coordinate (uo , vo ) of a peak position obtained by applying Fourier transformation to the image data and calculating |f(u, v)| are inversely proportional to a pitch of the color filter, the pitch of the color filter is obtained. Furthermore, an angle between the arrangement direction of the color filter and the scanning direction of the reproduction device and the horizontal moving amount are calculated and the arrangement of the color filter is measured, based on the data, and the data are accurately sampled from each filter. Furthermore, the image data are divided into blocks numbering to the power of 2, and Fourier transformation is applied to the blocks to attain a high-speed calculation. |
