PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the sizes of a computer overhead by dividing a phase space composed of a positional region and motion space into regions and reducing the number of particles having lower wt. than an optimum wt. for the wt. of particles in each region. SOLUTION: The device simulating method using the Monte Carlo method comprises dividing a phase space composed of a positional region and motion space into regions to define the optimum grain wt. W for each divided region and reducing the number n1 of particles having a lower wt. Wi than the optimum wt. for the wt. Wi of particles in each region to the particle no. nf and simulating a device so that the sum Wst of the wts. of n1 particles agrees with that Wstf of the wts. Wi' of nf particles. This makes it possible to reduce the so-called computer overhead. |
