PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve the processing load on a center equipment by reducing frequency of occurrence of an incoming request signal sent directly to the center equipment with respect to requests from a terminal equipment. SOLUTION: In the case of an image transition A where no incoming request signal is sent to the center equipment, a succeeding image is extracted among those in a broadcast mode. In the case of an image transition B, an incoming request signal to the center equipment is sent to acquire a desired video image and request information in pairs therewith sent from the center equipment. Thus, a request in the image transition A is extracted from a broadcast mode, frequency of incoming request signals from each terminal equipment to the center equipment is reduced as a whole. As a result, the load of request processing in the center equipment is relieved and the high speed reply processing is realized.
