PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipolar connector that uses no pins and to provide a multifunction connector which can be given a connector function for a medium for other than electricity, e.g. gas such as air, or liquid such as oil, or light. SOLUTION: A male connector A comprises a plurality of linear electric conductors 3a to 3p provided on the outer surface of a cylinder 1 made of an insulating material, in such a way that the conductors are spaced apart and arranged in parallel along the longitudinal direction of the cylinder, while a female connector B comprises a plurality of linear electric conductors 5a provided in positions corresponding to the electric conductors 3a to 3p of the male connector A, on the inner peripheral surface of a cylinder 4 made of an insulating material with a bore and a shape such that the male connector A can be loosely inserted into the connector B, the electric conductors 5a being spaced apart and arranged in parallel along the longitudinal direction of the cylinder 1. |
