<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain efficiently desired program information among lots of programs by allowing the viewer to revise the layout or the like and customizing it when the viewer references an EPG. SOLUTION: The n-Sets of promotion purpose video signals 1a-1n are de- framed and the resulting signals are given to a multi-screen synthesis section 4, where the signals are composited in multi-screen display of a prescribed number on one screen. Then an encoder 5 receives the output of the section 4 and audio input signals 2a-2n to apply digital video audio compression coding to them. On the other hand, a plurality of video audio input signals of conventional channels are subject to video and audio compression coding and the result is given to a multiplexer section 7 with the output of the encoder 5, from which a transport stream 8 is outputted. Then a receiver side displays program video information of a channel corresponding to a designated program while moving a display position on a screen.</p> |
