<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of detecting the periodical fluctuation of speed of a transfer member such as a transfer belt derived from a rotary drive mechanism such as the belt driving roll, without making the device large size. SOLUTION: In the image forming device capable of detecting the traveling speed of the transfer belt by transferring a reference pattern R for the image position measurement provided with a specified pitch formed on a photoreceptor drum 1 to a surface of transfer belt 10, and detecting the reference pattern R transferred on the surface of the transfer belt 10 by the pattern detecting sensor 28, a distance between the image transferring position from the photoreceptor drum 1 onto the transfer belt 10 and the reference pattern detecting position by the pattern detecting sensor 28 is made to the distance other than integer number times of the length of the belt advanced by one rotation of a roll 11 driving the transfer belt, preferably made a half.</p> |
