PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup capable of easily and optimally correcting astigmatism and recording/reproducing a high density optical recording/reproducing medium. SOLUTION: An astigmatic correction plate 7 is arranged between an optical integrated circuit 1 in which a photodetector 4 and a semiconductor laser 2 are formed on a semiconductor substrate 6, and a beam splitter 3 having a translucent reflection surface 3a slanting from an opposite surface to the light emission surface 2a of the semiconductor laser 2 by nearly 45 deg. is fixed onto the photodetector 4 and an objective lens 8 converging laser light on the optical recording/reproducing medium 93. Then, the astigmatic correction plate 7 is fixed to a holder 7a with a cylindrical surface, and is provided with an oblique angle adjustment means turntable around an optical axis. Thus, the astigmatism is adjusted easily and optimally without requiring more man-hour. |
