PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent protrusion of a non-sintered type electrode plate through a separator to cause inner short-circuiting in an extremely simple structure. SOLUTION: In a battery having a non-sintered type electrode plate 1, a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate are laminated through a separator. The positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate are spirally wound to put one electrode plate on the outer side and the other electrode plate on the inner side of it. The electrode plate wound on the inner side is the non-sintered type electrode plate 1 comprising a porous base body in which active material is charged. The non-sintered type electrode plate 1 is provided with a non-charge part 1B at an outermost round winding end 1A in which active material charged quantity is smaller than that at the other part, or in which active material is not charged.
