PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming device by which an image with high image quality is obtained by avoiding missing of thin lines or deformed thin lines in the case of reduction. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a read-processing section 10 digitally reading an image, a control section 4 to set a reduction rate when an image data read by the read processing section 20, a reduction processing section 20 applying reduction processing to the image data read by the read processing section 10 based on the magnification set by the control section 4, a write processing section 30 conducting pulse width modulation based on the image data subjected to reduction processing by the reduction processing section 20 and wiring the pulse resulting data digitally, and a means forming an image based on the image data written by the write means.
