METHOD FOR EXTRACTING PITCH OF SPEECH PROCESSING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pitch extraction method permitting to eliminate an error generated when a pitch of successive speeches is extracted. SOLUTION: This method is composed of a residual error signal generation process which indicates a pitch of a speech in a frame and generates many residual error signals and a pitch generation process which generates a residual error signal satisfying a prescribed requirement of the above-mentioned many residual error signals as a pitch. The above-mentioned residual error signal generation process filters a speech by using FIR-STREAK filter coupling a FIR(finite impulse response) filter with a STREAK filter and generates the result of the filtering as a residual error signal. The above-mentioned pitch generation process generates as a pitch only residual error signals with amplitudes higher than a preset one among the many residual error signals and a residual signal in the case when the time intervals between the residual error signals are within a preset interval.
