PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safety when a safe part is detached from a main body part without providing any conventional shutter system at the safe part and to miniaturize a paper money discriminator concerning the paper money discriminator with which the main body part and the safe part can be engaged and disengaged. SOLUTION: Concerning this paper money discriminator, a main body part A equipped with an inserting part 11 for a paper money C, discriminating part 12 for discriminating the truth/false of the paper money and conveying part 13 for conveying the paper money discriminated as true one, and a safe part B for housing the conveyed paper money at a prescribed position while pressing it with a press mechanism are provided so as to be engaged/disengaged. In this case, the press mechanism is composed of a driving part 14 and a pressing part 30, the driving part 14 is arranged on the side of main body part A and the pressing part 30 is arranged on the side of safe part B. |
