The spectacles have an ornament (4) releasably fixed to the lens glass (3) either by a conical holder (6) passed through a hole (5) in the lens and held in place by press fit attachment, or by a clamp (7) on the lens backside. Alternatively it can be held by a press-stud from the lens glass backside or by simply being notched into position. The ornament can also be held by magnet to the glass or be bonded to it. In detail, the ornament may typically be a heart-shaped brooch or pin etc. which is compatible with the weight of the spectacles.
