<p>A circuit protection arrangement having a variable resistance sensor-interrupt element, e.g. bimetallic relay contacts, connected in series between the power supply and the load, and a control element, e.g. a series combination of a diode and a relay coil, coupled with the sensor-interrupt element. When the current in the circuit increases by a predetermined current amount, the resistance of the sensor-interrupt element increases. The control element causes the sensor-interrupt element to change from a closed state to an open state when the resistance of the sensor-interrupt element increases by a predetermined resistance amount.</p> |
