The cleaning arrangement includes a debris detector for sensing a pollution degree of a beverage mixer, and a controller for producing a control signal for the supply of a hot water supply unit with hot water for washing the beverage mixer in response to the detected degree of pollution. The beverage mixer comprises transparent devices which are formed symmetrically at one part of the part. The debris detector comprises a source for the emission of light and a reception part for producing a signal to the controller after the reception of the emitted light through each of the transparent devices of the beverage mixer.
